The 1959 Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz symbolizes 1950s America: a time of exuberance, self-confidence, excess, and self-indulgence. Cadillac designers drew on jet aircraft for ideas, from the sharp, swept-back tailfins to the front parking lights that resemble B-52 bomber air intakes. Under that jet-inspired skin is a 345 horsepower engine, air suspension, and a host of luxury options, including an automatic headlight dimmer. We are unlikely to ever see such cars again.

The '56 Bel Air 210' is considered by many to be "an icon of its age - right alongside Elvis, Marilyn Monroe, and Leave it to Beaver," and is among the most recognizable American cars of all time. The Bel Air Two-Tens were appointed with many luxuries, including the Powerglide automatic transmission, power windows and seat adjuster. Two-tone body side treatments and front and rear wheel openings completed the "Speedline" restyling.

The 1966 Chevrolet Impala is undoubtedly one of the most iconic muscle cars to ever hit the American automotive performance market because of its instantly recognizable style and passion for power. It was named after the African antelope, ostensibly for speed and grace. The 1966 Chevrolet Impala has much to do about its design and luxury accouterments, but a lot to do with the fact that the Impala is a luxurious and thrilling ride.
